Now that spring really is around the corner and the evenings are getting lighter and milder, my family and I are craving simple, fresh, light snacks. One of our favourites is hummus as we love its versitility, simplicity and health benefits as well as the fact it tastes great and can be eaten by adults and kids alike.
Our new go-to recipe is one we recently found on Pinterest, click here to get the full recipe and process.
A way to ensure that this yummy snack is prepared as healthily as possible is to pressure cook the chickpeas beforehand. This is in order to remove all the lectins (poisons) lurking in the food that could cause us problems (see our blog on lectins for more information: An Introduction to Lectins: (Food to Avoid!)
