World Mental Health Day - 10th October 2022

How a personal trainer in Wimbledon can support you this World Mental Health Day

Monday 10th October is World Mental Health Day in 2022. It’s extremely important for everyone to make time for their mental health, acknowledge it and support it and as your personal trainer in Wimbledon, I’m a big fan of using exercise to support your mental health and wellbeing initiatives.

Here’s my guide of how you can tackle mental health this month and beyond:

  1. The Mental Health Foundation is promoting a 12,000 steps a day challenge during November. 12,000 steps can sound like a lot, but most of them can even be achieved on your daily dog walking expeditions. You can complete the challenge as part of a team or with your personal trainer, Wimbledon 😉
  2. Consider what part your diet has to play in a more positive outlook for your mental health. As a personal trainer in Wimbledon, I can help you take a look at nutritional factors that will make a difference.
  3. Thrill seeking is not for the faint-hearted, but it can push you out of your comfort zone if that’s something you feel like you can and want to do. Anything from a skydive to abseiling or a big trek, just take your personal trainer in Wimbledon along for the ride with you!
  4. Physical exercise is an effective way to relieve stress so whatever the cause of the stress you might be experiencing, moving your body can really help to reduce this, even when it’s the last thing you feel like doing.
  5. As a personal trainer, Wimbledon, I often work with my clients on setting goals. Setting targets for yourself to reach is an excellent way to focus your mind on something positive for yourself and a great way to pat yourself on the back when they are achieved.

You can find more amazing tips like this when you opt to work with a personal trainer in Wimbledon like Niall Fitness. We’ll set achievable goals together, designed around supporting your mental health for the long term.

We’ve received some wonderful client praise for our personal training in Wimbledon, you can read more of our 5 star reviews below.

When I started with Niall about 9 months ago I was really out of shape. He has been great at getting me back on track by pushing me hard enough to stretch me but not hard enough to break me! I’m feeling much stronger and healthier than I was back then. Niall’s a lovely, high energy person who cares about his clients and is good at adapting his training techniques to the individual. I particularly enjoy training with him in the park. Highly recommended.

It is clear he is very experienced & skilled at instructing & explaining fitness & exercise. He has opened up a whole new world and perspective for me. I would highly recommend him :-)

Being one of his older clients in age I have been trained by Niall for last two and half years and he has worked wonders. Pushing me beyond my comfort zone without making it hell! He has built up my confidence after an injury and is just good company to be around! Can’t imagine life without him now!
