Prebiotics are the fibrous foods in certain vegetables that:
a) Feed the bacteria in our guts
b) Promote our health and immunity in so many ways!
PREbiotics feed the PRObiotics meaning that having a healthy diet maintains a healthy gut and having a healthy gut means having a healthy body (and mind) as this is where the processing of all our energy begins.
Here is a list of prebiotics to help that good bacteria thrive:
- Asparagus
- Carrotts
- Garlic
- Jerusalem Artichoke
- Jicama
- Leeks
- Onions
- Radishes
